“यत्र नार्यस्तु पूज्यन्ते               रमन्ते तत्र देवताः।”
(Where women are respected divinity flourishes.)

Raise your boys to grow into men who protect the dignity of every woman whenever it is challenged.

Raise your girls by empowering them with education and opportunities so that together they become a force of Nari Shakti and never fall prey to evil forces.

Dear Parents,

This half-yearly report is not only an update on your child’s progress but also a reminder of the shared responsibility we hold in shaping young minds and hearts.

Academics and Understanding
Education is not about securing only high marks. It is about developing clarity of concepts, sharpening the ability to apply knowledge and preparing for a future where these skills will sustain livelihood. We encourage you to guide your child not merely to study for tests but to learn for life. School assessments are important to check the conceptual clarity and to understand the interests and ability of young minds.

Co-curricular Growth
Non-scholastic activities are now called co-curricular because they are integral to education. They are no longer optional extras but equally important as academic subjects. A balance of academics with art, sports, cultural expression and skill-building makes an individual resilient and emotionally strong. In a time when mental health challenges are increasing, children need this all-round growth to face the world with confidence.

Value Systems and Parental Role
The formative years are crucial for building strong values. Parents play the most vital role in this by helping children understand how school contributes daily to their growth. Gratitude towards teachers and respect for all adults in school must be cultivated. If you notice any concern, please share it through feedback letters or by requesting a meeting with teachers. This open exchange strengthens the relationship between home and school and ensures the holistic development of every child.

Children as Observers of Adults
Children are miniature adults. They observe, absorb and imitate the actions of grown-ups. Discussing healthy practices promoted by the school and reinforcing them at home builds pride in children about their school. Positive words strengthen this sense of belonging. Let us commit to sharing what uplifts rather than what diminishes.

Attendance and Learning Beyond Textbooks
In this term a significant concern has been falling attendance. At this age more than 90 percent attendance is essential for maximum learning. Children learn not only from textbooks but also from daily interactions, activities, exposure to nature and social experiences. Missing school means missing these vital opportunities. Please support us in ensuring regular attendance.

Healthy Habits
Reading printed books, traveling to new places and even short family outings contribute greatly to resilience and communication skills. It is observed that people who understand this importance, their children show interest and participate actively in class activities and naturally get noticed. Every child is encouraged by school to participate but the initiative must also be supported by students with your motivation.

Balanced nutrition, adequate sleep and daily physical activity are equally important. Please ensure your child follows healthy routines so that body and mind develop in harmony.

Digital Discipline
Unrestricted screen time and overexposure to gadgets are among the biggest threats to concentration, creativity and healthy sleep patterns. We urge you to regulate digital use at home and encourage outdoor play and face-to-face interactions. These simple steps strengthen focus and social skills that no device can replace.

Some excellent podcasts for school children include Wow in the World for science and technology, Story Pirates for kid-written stories turned into comedy and songs, Smash Boom Best for fun debates, Brains On! for science exploration, Circle Round for international folktales, and KiDNuZ for kid-friendly daily news.

Listening to these kind of podcasts not only enriches young and adolescent children but also saves screen time. These involve only audio, so attention span and comprehension ability too improves. These are only suggestions. I am sure you are equally concerned about your ward’s future and take necessary steps to reduce screen time at home.

Behaviour and Emotional Wellbeing
We must remain vigilant about the language children hear and use. With foul expressions becoming common among adults, children tend to adopt them quickly. Please monitor conversations at home and in your surroundings. What children hear, they repeat. Likewise it is an earnest request to  not pressurize children to perform beyond their capacity. Unreasonable stress may lead to nervous breakdowns or to adopting unfair practices, both of which can seriously harm their future.

Partnership for Growth
The school and home are not two separate entities. We are partners in nurturing your child’s potential. Active parental involvement in school events, workshops and cultural activities not only supports the child but also models enthusiasm for learning.

Dear parents, together we are shaping individuals who will one day shape society. Let us continue this journey with trust, respect and cooperation for the holistic growth of every child.

Warm regards,

Mrs. Sanghamitra Chatterjee
